We were in milledgeville for a family reunion so didn’t spend a lot of time in the house. But our stay was very fun. We joked about it being haunted. It was such a shame to see those beautiful old buildings left to rot. Two of my cousins are nurses and did their clinicals there 20 and 30 years ago.

Amazing is the key word to describe the stay at this air bnb. I booked this for my birthday with a friend and it was the most refreshing trip. We both love history, so staying at this location alone was very exciting. Everything is walking distance and downtown is only a 5 minute drive. I was pleasantly surprised by the change in scenery/pace when we went into downtown. The restaurants were phenomenal! The Brick was one of our favorites. We went about 4 times and highly recommend it. We spent most of our time on the wrap around porch and it was heavenly. Listening to the rain come down while listening to music was so peaceful. The air bnb had everything and there was so much to do in the surrounding areas. We also rented a pool on Swimly from Gwen and that was one of the highlights of our trip. We would definitely love to come back again soon. This air bnb is the perfect spot for a peaceful getaway and refreshing atmosphere.

The cottage was exactly as described. The space was bigger than I was expecting. It was in a perfect location, it felt secluded but it was close to downtown. Having the history of the house and the State hospital to read through was nice. Most all the buildings on the walking tour of the old asylum are just a short walk from the house.
